This group is for parents of children with sensory processing issues either due to autism or with out autism. My son is 9, and I have been dealing with SPD for over 7 years. I know there is a great group already out there, but they meet in Durham, and I would love something a little closer to home. If you are interested in sharing tips, information, ideas or just need someone to talk to once in a while, this is what I hope this group will become.
Ryan is 13 yrs old and is high functioning autistic. It is so difficult for these guys to make good friends and have fun together! Looking for others in the young teen/tween area who would like to get together for fun activities geared for their needs. Does not need to be expensive ideas! Park visits, picnics (potluck?), sporting activities (kickball, soccer, basketball, etc.), any type of free or reasonable activities that they can all enjoy!
